Shabby Elegance Decor

If your tastes are more on the romantic, eclectic side of the spectrum, then Shabby Chic decor may just be your style! Bright Idea!

Make this a beautiful morning by having or serving breakfast in bed. Use that tray that you found at the flea markerto use for just this occasion or that new tray and cover with crisp, linen napkins or a pretty lace placemat. Serve up juice, coffee or tea and tasty muffins. Top it off with a newspaper or favorite magazine and a cut flower from your garden. Here's a great recipe----

Cheese and Bacon Muffins

2 cups sifted flour *2 Tbsps sugar *3 tsps baking powder *½ tsp salt *½ cup sharp cheddar cheese (grated) *4 slices bacon,crisp,crumbled *1 egg, slightly beaten *1 cup milk *2 tsps salad oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift flour,sugar,baking powder and salt into bowl. Add cheese and bacon. Toss with a fork until well mixed. Combine egg,milk and oil. Blend well and add to cheese-bacon mixture. Mix until just moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling 2/3 full. Bake for 25 minutes or until done.
